The Veilwoven Saga

Queer fantasy woven from Celtic myth, starlight, and thorns.

The Veilwoven Saga

When a cartographer's apprentice follows a door that shouldn't exist, he tears open the Veil between the mortal realm and Faerie. Now the worlds are bleeding into each other — and the only way to seal them may cost him everything.

The Veilwoven Saga is a queer dark fantasy series rooted in Celtic mythology. It asks what happens when two people who were never supposed to meet find each other anyway — and whether love can bridge worlds built to stay apart.

"They were never supposed to find each other. They were never supposed to fall."

The Veilwoven Saga · Book One

Caelan has spent his whole life feeling like a ghost in his own world — a cartographer's apprentice who draws borders around places he's never been. He didn't mean to tear open the Veil between the mortal realm and Faerie. He just followed a door that wasn't there the day before.

Rían, Prince of the Shadow Court, was raised to hate humans — and he will not let a map-dreaming mortal undo everything his court has sacrificed. But the Veil won't reseal without Caelan's blood. Bound together on a journey through the most dangerous parts of Faerie, every step tightens the knot between them.

The Author

Nep Venn is a storyteller from Winnipeg, Manitoba — Treaty One Territory — who grew up dreaming of other worlds. The Veilwoven Saga was born from a lifelong love of queer romance, Celtic mythology, and the question of what happens when two people who were never supposed to meet find each other anyway.

When not writing, Nep can be found sewing costumes that feel like they belong in Faerie, tinkering with 3D printers, or staring at the Manitoba prairie sky imagining what lies beyond the Veil.
